Energy Prices (mid Sept 2012)

UK power prices have risen over the last few days, but have oscillated at a fairly level position for the last month.  However, they are up some £3/MWh from the low of mid to late July.

Electricity April 13 is sitting around the £52/MWh, whilst the October 13 is a little higher at around £53.50/MWh.

Gas has followed a similar pattern to the electricity markets with April 13 running at 66.5p/th and October 13 around 67.5p/th.

Oil prices is having an effect upon the Electricity and Gas markets, with a barrel of Brent Crude at a relative high of $116.

Coal, however, has backed off slightly and is currently less than $100/MT.
