Energy Prices (early October 2012)

Through the back end of September, prices climbed slightly, but had backed off ending the month lower than the mid-September position.

This step back was due to the fact that major commodities had dropped off.  For instance, Oil had retreated by 4% in the last 2 weeks, Coal -3% and Gas around -2.5%.

The markets at present are as follows:

Electricity (Apr '13) £51/MWh

Gas (Apr '13) 65p/therm

Oil (Brent Crude) $111/barrel
